Welsh Wildlife Centre
Otters have occasionally been spotted along the banks of the rivers, rabbits and deer may skip shyly away if you disturb them, and insects and butterflies are found in abundance. You can ask for a “Spotting Chart” and tick off all that you manage to see.
HOWEVER, the most exciting animal living on the reserve at the moment are magnificent Water Buffalo who help to keep the wildlife marshes under control and help maintain this important habitat for other species. These huge, gentle animals live at this reserve during the spring and summer months; if you manage to take some good photos of them, please send us some; we’d love to see them!
There is also an award winning café, an education centre, a gift shop and much more. Take a look at their website to find out what’s on while you’re on holiday here.
