April Fool? Not a bit of it!
A few people thought that it was an April Fool’s day prank when we ran a competition on Facebook offering the winner a free week’s holiday starting on April 1st. This was no prank; and our lucky (and lovely) winners, Sharon Schultz Sands and her mum Betty, duly arrived after a long 7 hour train and bus journey from Liverpool.

Sharon told us, “I entered the competition as a birthday treat for myself and my mum, but I never expected to win, I’ve never won anything before in my life!”

Our first visitors of the spring season, and the very first to stay in the Farmhouse, Sharon and Betty were absolutely delighted at the beauty of Ffynnon Grog and its views. Throughout the week, which they spent relaxing in the peace and quiet of Mwnt, they often remarked about the beauty and tranquillity of the place, calling it, “a piece of Heaven here on Earth.”

As well as enjoying a day out in nearby Cardigan town, Sharon and Betty were lucky enough to watch the new born lambs excitedly playing in our fields when they were turned out for the first time in their lives. And Sharon was sure she spotted some dolphins in the sea in the distance. She was probably right – our local dolphins have been sighted several times already this season. (If you visit us, a boat trip with A Bay to Remember is a must – for more information take a look at their website here).

Thank you Sharon and Betty for being such appreciative guests. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay; hopefully you’ll be back. Meanwhile, we are looking forward to meeting our new and returning guests throughout the season.
