All Kinds Of Fun

Did you know that it’s not just us humans who enjoy having holidays by the sea? Here at Ffynnon Grog, and at many, many other places in our beautiful area, people can bring their dogs and even their horses, on holiday with them! Look at the happy faces on Mali the dog at Mwnt, and Charlie the pony at Poppit! They’re lucky enough to live here, but why not bring your pets with you on holiday?

There are so many places to explore with your dogs; even the coastal path, if the dogs are safely on their leads, is accessible to you and your dogs. Some of the local beaches do not allow dogs on them during the season March to October, but a notable exception is Poppit Sands, a short drive from Mwnt, where dogs are allowed on a vast area of this large beach, all year round. Many dogs love a swim in the sea, or a good ball game on the sand, and often doggy friendships are formed as they play freely together, having the time of their lives!

Responsible pet-ownership is essential here if we are to continue to enjoy this privilege – please remember to bring (and use) plenty of poo bags! There’s a special bin for these just at the entrance to Poppit beach.

Poppit is also a fabulous place to ride your horse if you are lucky enough to be able to bring him with you on holiday. (Here at Ffynnon Grog, we have a paddock for you to use if you do). Visit early in the morning or later in the evening as the sun sets, when the beach is quiet, and you and your horse will enjoy a ride like no other. Riding on the beach, at the water’s edge, is every bit as exhilarating and exciting in reality as it is in your imagination!

There are also some lovely bridle paths to explore in the area; one starting at Mwnt beach! The views on these paths are breathtakingly beautiful and you really won’t want to go home!
